The whole Qur’an in one view: each bar is one surah, in the order you meet it in the mushaf, and its height is how many ayat it holds. The mushaf is arranged broadly from longest to shortest, not in the order the verses were revealed — which is why the tall bars sit at the front.

Heights use a square-root scale, not a linear one. Al-Baqarah has 286 ayat and Al-Asr has 3; on a linear axis almost every surah after the sixtieth would be a line too thin to see. Read the bars as ranking and rough magnitude, not as areas to compare. Counts are from the site’s own Qur’an data (Tanzil, Uthmani), the same source the reader uses — read the Qur’an.
