الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

Al-hamdu lillahil-ladhi ahyana ba'da ma amatana wa ilayhin-nushur

All praise is for Allah, who gave us life after He had caused us to die, and to Him is the resurrection.

Whoever wakes up in the night and says:

La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku walahul-hamdu, wahuwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir, subhanallah, wal-hamdu lillah, wala ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar, wala hawla wala quwwata illa billahil-'aliyyil-'azim, rabbighfir li

There is no deity except Allah alone, without partner; His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over all things. Glory be to Allah; all praise is for Allah; there is no deity except Allah; Allah is the Greatest; and there is no might nor power except by Allah, the Most High, the Magnificent. My Lord, forgive me.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي عَافَانِي فِي جَسَدِي، وَرَدَّ عَلَيَّ رُوحِي، وَأَذِنَ لِي بِذِكْرِهِ

Al-hamdu lillahil-ladhi 'afani fi jasadi, waradda 'alayya ruhi, wa adhina li bidhikrih

All praise is for Allah, who restored my body to health, returned my soul to me, and permitted me to remember Him.

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of night and day there are signs for people of understanding. (190) Those who remember Allah standing, sitting and lying on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth: “Our Lord, You did not create this in vain. Glory be to You! So protect us from the punishment of the Fire. (191) Our Lord, whomever You admit into the Fire, You have truly disgraced, and the wrongdoers will have no helpers. (192) Our Lord, we have heard a caller calling to faith: ‘Believe in your Lord,’ and we have believed. Our Lord, forgive us our sins, remove from us our evil deeds, and take our souls in the company of the righteous. (193) Our Lord, grant us what You promised us through Your messengers, and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, You never fail in Your promise.” (194) So their Lord answered them: “I will not let the deed of any doer among you be lost, whether male or female — you are of one another. So those who emigrated, were driven out of their homes, were harmed in My way, fought and were killed — I will surely remove their evil deeds from them and admit them into Gardens beneath which rivers flow, as a reward from Allah; and with Allah is the best reward.” (195) Do not be deceived by the movement of the disbelievers throughout the land. (196) It is a brief enjoyment; then their abode is Hell — and what a wretched resting place! (197) But those who feared their Lord will have Gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein forever, as a welcome from Allah; and what is with Allah is best for the righteous. (198) And indeed, among the People of the Book are those who believe in Allah and in what was sent down to you and what was sent down to them, humbling themselves before Allah. They do not sell the verses of Allah for a small price. Those will have their reward with their Lord. Indeed, Allah is swift in reckoning. (199) O you who believe, be patient, outdo one another in patience, stand on guard, and fear Allah so that you may succeed. (200)
