254 100 times

Whoever says, a hundred times a day:

Subhanallahi wabihamdih

Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Him.

…has his sins wiped away, even if they were like the foam of the sea.

255 ten times

Whoever says ten times:

La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku walahul-hamdu, wahuwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir

There is no deity but Allah alone, without partner; His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over all things.

…is like one who has freed four souls from the descendants of Ismāʿīl.

Two phrases that are light on the tongue, heavy in the Balance, and beloved to the Most Merciful:

Subhanallahi wabihamdih, subhanallahil-'azim

Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Him; glory be to Allah, the Magnificent.

The Prophet ﷺ said that saying these words is dearer to him than everything the sun rises over:

Subhanallah, wal-hamdu lillah, wala ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar

Glory be to Allah, all praise is for Allah, there is no deity but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest.

Subhanallahil-'azimi wabihamdih

Glory be to Allah, the Magnificent, and praise be to Him.

…has a date-palm planted for him in Paradise.

The words most beloved to Allah are four:

Subhanallah, wal-hamdu lillah, la ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar

Glory be to Allah, all praise is for Allah, there is no deity but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest.

It does not matter which of them you begin with.

A Bedouin asked the Prophet ﷺ to teach him words to say. He said: “Say:”

La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, Allahu akbaru kabira, wal-hamdu lillahi kathira, subhanallahi rabbil-'alamin, la hawla wala quwwata illa billahil-'azizil-hakim. Allahummaghfir li, warhamni, wahdini, warzuqni

There is no deity but Allah alone, without partner. Allah is the Greatest, most great; abundant praise is for Allah; glory be to Allah, Lord of the worlds; there is no might nor power except by Allah, the Almighty, the Wise. O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, and provide for me.

When a man embraced Islam, the Prophet ﷺ would teach him the prayer, then tell him to supplicate with these words:

Allahummaghfir li, warhamni, wahdini, wa'afini, warzuqni

O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, grant me well-being, and provide for me.
