O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, from the punishment of Hell, from the trials of life and death, and from the evil of the trial of the False Messiah.

O Allah, by Your knowledge of the unseen and Your power over creation, keep me alive as long as You know life to be good for me, and take me when You know death to be good for me. O Allah, I ask You for fear of You in private and in public; I ask You for the word of truth in contentment and in anger; I ask You for moderation in wealth and in poverty; I ask You for bliss that never runs out; I ask You for a delight of the eye that never ceases; I ask You for contentment after Your decree; I ask You for a cool, easy life after death; and I ask You for the delight of looking at Your Face and longing to meet You, without harmful hardship or misleading trial. O Allah, adorn us with the adornment of faith, and make us guides who are rightly guided.
