Hadith Repository
The most significant, foundational hadith across the major areas of life — each one presented with the hadith itself, the circumstance that is genuinely reported to have led the Prophet ﷺ to say or do it, and what it is teaching.
This is a curated companion to our full Hadith collection (all of Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, ~14,300 entries) and our Verified Hadith Collection (Arabic text, search, and theme filters) — not a replacement for either. Twenty-four hadith are explained in depth here, drawn overwhelmingly from Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. Context is reported only where a specific occasion is genuinely attested in the hadith literature — a companion's question, a named event, a specific setting; where no such occasion is recorded and a hadith is simply a general teaching, we say so plainly rather than invent one. Where a hadith comes from outside the two Sahihs, its actual scholarly grading (hasan, or any real dispute over authenticity) is stated rather than presented as unqualified Sahih. We have not printed Arabic text here — see the citation link for the original wording; our Verified Hadith Collection carries the Arabic for a number of these.
