Yes, but only under conditions. If the weakness in each chain is light — a narrator with a poor memory, an unnamed link, a minor break — and the routes are genuinely independent of one another, the multiple paths can lift the report to hasan li-ghayrihi, which is acceptable as evidence. But if the weakness is severe, such as a narrator accused of lying, a known fabricator, or one abandoned by the critics (matruk), then no number of similar chains helps; further routes of that kind only add weakness to weakness. So "it has many chains" is never by itself a proof of authenticity — the kind of weakness in each chain must first be examined by a qualified critic, and the routes must not all trace back to the same defective narrator.
