Ahl al-Sunnah love and honour all the Companions, believe the Qur'an declared Allah's pleasure with the foremost among them, and refrain from delving into the disputes that arose between them. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not revile my Companions, for if one of you were to spend gold equal to Uhud it would not equal a mudd — a small measure — given by one of them, nor even half of it." Because the Companions are the channel through which the Qur'an and Sunnah reached us, systematically vilifying them undermines the religion itself, which is why Ahl al-Sunnah reject the practice, found among some sects, of cursing figures such as Abu Bakr, 'Umar and 'A'ishah. At the same time, Ahl al-Sunnah love the Prophet's household (Ahl al-Bayt), and see no contradiction between honouring the family and honouring the Companions, since the Qur'an praises both.
