Surah Ash-Sharh — The Relief

أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ ﴿١﴾

Have We not expanded thee thy breast?- 94:1

وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ ﴿٢﴾

And removed from thee thy burden 94:2

ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ ﴿٣﴾

The which did gall thy back?- 94:3

وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ ﴿٤﴾

And raised high the esteem (in which) thou (art held)? 94:4

فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا ﴿٥﴾

So, verily, with every difficulty, there is relief: 94:5

إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًۭا ﴿٦﴾

Verily, with every difficulty there is relief. 94:6

فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَٱنصَبْ ﴿٧﴾

Therefore, when thou art free (from thine immediate task), still labour hard, 94:7

وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرْغَب ﴿٨﴾

And to thy Lord turn (all) thy attention. 94:8
