Where in the prayer is dua most likely to be accepted?

The two greatest places are in sujūd and after the final tashahhud before the salām. Abū Hurayrah reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The closest a servant comes to his Lord is while he is prostrating, so make much supplication therein" (Sahih Muslim 482). And in the ḥadīth of Ibn Masʿūd on the tashahhud, after teaching the tashahhud and the ṣalāh upon the Prophet he said, "then let him choose whatever supplication he likes" (Sahih al-Bukhari 835). The majority of scholars hold that in this position one may ask for any permissible matter, worldly or otherwise, though the Ḥanafīs restricted it to wording resembling that of the Qur'ān and Sunnah; in all cases the supplication inside ṣalāh is made in Arabic according to the majority.
