Does eating camel meat break your wudu?

Yes — eating camel meat nullifies wudu, whether it is cooked or raw, because a man asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) whether one should perform wudu after eating camel meat and he said "Yes," while for sheep and goat meat he said "If you wish." This is the position of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal and the view supported by the clearest authentic evidence, and it was likewise the fatwa of a number of the scholars of the Salaf and later verifiers. It is specific to camel meat only — other meats do not break wudu, and camel milk does not break it either.
