Is it allowed to make dua against someone who has wronged me?

Yes, within limits: Allah says, "Allah does not like the public mention of evil except by one who has been wronged" (Quran 4:148), and the Prophet (ﷺ) warned Mu'adh when he sent him to Yemen, "Beware of the supplication of the oppressed, for there is no barrier between it and Allah" (Sahih al-Bukhari 1496; Sahih Muslim 19). The wronged person may therefore ask Allah for his right and for justice against the specific oppressor, but only to the measure of the wrong done — "Let harm be requited by an equal harm" — for exceeding it turns the oppressed into an oppressor, and cursing people at large or invoking against a wrongdoer's family and children is not permitted. Yet Allah praises what is higher in the very same verse: "Whoever pardons and makes reconciliation, his reward is with Allah" (Quran 42:40). The safest and most beloved course is to raise your complaint to Allah, ask Him to give you your right or to guide the wrongdoer, and leave the matter to Him.
