Hospitality is tied directly to faith in Allah and the Last Day. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him honor his guest." This includes welcoming the guest warmly, providing food and comfort generously, and not burdening him; the scholars note the guest's special right is emphasized for the first day and night, with three days being the sunnah of hosting. Generous hospitality was the way of Ibrahim (peace be upon him), who at once brought a roasted calf for his guests (Quran 51:24-27).
