The Sirat is a bridge stretched over the top of Hell that all people must pass over on the Day of Judgment, and Allah refers to this passing when He says, 'There is none of you except he will come to it... Then We will save those who feared Allah' (Quran 19:71-72). The Prophet described how people will cross it according to their deeds — some like lightning, some like the wind, some running, and some crawling — while hooks snatch others down into the Fire, as reported in the great hadith of intercession and the vision of the Lord. Believers whom Allah wills to save will be delivered across, and the true believer's light will guide him over it. It is a real matter of the unseen that we affirm exactly as it came without distortion.
