The Druze are a secretive religious community that emerged in the 11th century as an offshoot of Ismaʿili Shiism, but their distinctive doctrines place them outside Islam by scholarly consensus. They deified the Fatimid ruler al-Hakim bi-Amr Allah, believe in reincarnation, and do not observe the five pillars as Muslims do — beliefs that contradict the pure tawhid of Surah al-Ikhlas and the completion of the religion revealed to the Prophet ﷺ. Worshipping or deifying any human is clear shirk, and no new religion can be added after Islam was perfected. Muslims are still commanded to deal justly and courteously with them as with any non-Muslim community.
