Q&A · Belief

Will the believers see Allah in the Hereafter?

Yes. It is a firm belief of Ahl al-Sunnah that the believers will see their Lord with their eyes in the Hereafter, a vision that is the greatest of all delights of Paradise, though how it occurs is beyond our grasp. Allah says, 'Faces that Day will be radiant, looking at their Lord,' and He describes the disbelievers as being veiled from Him: 'No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be veiled.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'You will see your Lord as you see this moon, having no trouble in seeing it.' The Mu'tazila denied this seeing, but the Quran and authentic Sunnah establish it clearly.
