The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever memorizes ten verses from the beginning of Surah al-Kahf will be protected from the Dajjal." It is also recommended to recite Surah al-Kahf on Fridays, based on the report that whoever reads it on the day of Jumu'ah will have a light shining for him between the two Fridays (narrated by al-Hakim and al-Bayhaqi and graded sahih by al-Albani). The surah's four stories — the People of the Cave, the two garden owners, Musa and al-Khidr, and Dhul-Qarnayn — all warn against the trials of faith, wealth, knowledge, and power, which are the very trials the Dajjal will bring.
